We start Big Brother 12′s second episode with the aftermath of the House Guest’s learning that a Saboteur is living among them and the first attack was putting a padlock on the Storage Room door and the expected paranoia and blaming starts. The main suspicion lies on Andrew, with Brendon coming in at a close second.

We get to see our first cattle call up to the HOH Room with the HG’s oozing over Hayden’s pictures and general butt-kissing ensues. One thing I found interesting was that Hayden was given rope because he grew up in the country and can “swing a rope”. My guess is that rope will come into play soon as the next Saboteur attack as it’s on the list of items the Saboteur can use on the CBS website. Will the Saboteur try to pin something on an dimwitted Hayden?


Next up, is romance in the air or are we getting another showmance shoved down our throats? The sparks ignite between Brendon and Rachel as they revel in the fact that they are the smartest people in the house, leaving Annie almost as nauseated as I was. Almost, because she wasn’t subjected to the bad romance/porn saxophone music as we were.

Meanwhile the other HG’s are speculating on who the Saboteur is. Kathy has to look at it “with the criminal stuff” (our tax dollars in action) and this “stuff” leads her to believe the Sabo is a likable girl that no one would suspect. Since Annie is not in the room, the HG’s pin her as suspicious also.

Annie feeling unsafe for nominations decides to bond with Regan by coming out to him. Regan is moved to tears and a brief love fest follows.

More reveling by Rachel and Brendon in just how smart they are. The only plus to this scene is that Hayden is on to them and is afraid that they are a potential alliance. It just takes Hayden a little longer to figure these things out, that’s all.

Enzo promotes himself to acting consigliere of the Meow Meow mafia, initiating Haydan, Matt and Lane into a super-alliance called The Brigade and even names his co conspirators. Lane is The Beast, Hayden is The Animal, Matt is The Brians, and of course Enso is The Meow Meow since The Situation was already taken. The Brigade’s first official act is to agree to put up Brendon and Rachel. Good choice, knuckleheads!

It’s now time for our first Big Brother 12 Have/Have Not competition! The HG’s are split up into teams of three and….WAIT! Isn’t this a repeat of the honey comp from Season 10?!? Can we please have some originality this season? OK, if you missed it, the three teams must crawl through some sticky goop into a bed of popcorn and find Big Brother’s sweet teeth and go back through the goo to and place them in a mouth in tandem. Highlights: Hayden in a fairy costume, Brendon moons the world and Kathy gets stuck like a brontosaurus in a tar pit. Have Not’s are Matt, Kathy, Regan and Rachel.

The HG’s get some bolt cutters to unlock the Storage Room and we get a peek at the Have Not Room which looks like something out of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. There are maggots, crickets and worms emanating a foul smell to creep out it’s occupants. There are hard wooden chaise lounges for beds and there is garbage strewn about the room. I will give it up to Big Brother for this room from hell.

Now is the time for the Saboteur to strike a genius blow against the House. What does he do? He puts tape across Kathy and Britney’s Memory Wall pictures. Really?!? The “strike” does nothing to ignite drama in the house and my only feelings can be describes in the soundbite below.

It’s nomination time and as reported by Big Brother Spoilers last week, Brendon and Rachel are nominated by Hayden.
