We finally get a smattering of information from Allison Grodner, executive producer of Big Brother, about the upcoming sease of Big Brother 12 in an interview with TV Grapevine. Although she couldn’t divulge much information because the contestants are still “out in the world”, here are a few things I found interesting.

1.We will have the most diverse personalities, backgrounds and types of people that we have never seen before in the BB House.
2.The house will have a beach/poolside theme.
3.The reference to “bigger” in the promos doesn’t necessarily mean a bigger house or cast. She hints that there will be bigger twists and turns, making it the “hardest” game ever played in the Big Brother House.
4.There will be 12 – 14 houseguests this year.
5.Allison will neither confirm or deny an upcoming All Stars season, but there will be one when the “time is right”and she has “enough” new All Stars to make a great show and have the best players of all time in the house.
6.Allison confirms what I always believed, Big Brother is more psychologically stressful than Survivor.

That’s all the information we can get as far as some early Big Brother spoilers until the houseguests are in sequester, but it’s enough to wet my appetite, well…, just a little.

I am truly expecting a great season of Big Brother by this info alone. I can’t wait for more on the themes and houseguests as the premiere draws near. What’s your take on Allison’s comments?

Not the level of Big Brother spoilers I had been hoping for, but I’ll take what we can get. At the very least we know there will be a twist for Big Brother 12, but I think we all knew that was coming, right?!

The window of opportunity to be considered for Big Brother 12 is now over! The casting events wrapped up at the start of May and the application deadline was at the end of April. So now the only thing we have left to do is wait for the announcement from the casting producers.

I can’t wait for some new Big Brother spoilers!

Big Brother casting locations and dates are now available for the 12th season of CBS’ summer reality series.

Locations are being announced via Twitter with BB12Cast with more sites added frequently so keep checking.
