If you want to be in the Big Brother house and join the 14th cast then now’s your chance. CBS has released the Big Brother 2012 application so you can grab the forms, check the requirements, and then start filling things out for your big break.

The same rules apply as all seasons: you have to be at least 21 when you apply, you have to be a US resident, and you have to be able to do better than last season’s pitiful endurance competition HGs!

If you’re bold and brave enough to fill out those forms then best of luck! We hope you get the chance to compete for the half-million dollar prize. It won’t be easy though. You’ve got to survive 90 days of isolation and possibly lots of Big Brother slop, so if that sounds like your ideal time to spend a few sunny months in LA, then go for it. Good luck!

This summer’s installment had the highest ratings in years so it’s great to know our favorite reality show continues to grow in its popularity rather than dying off like many older shows tend to do.

No word yet on what twists will be featured in the next go around, but I think most of us are just hoping for a solid cast of all new faces to compete for the half-million dollar prize.

Casting events for BB14 have not yet been released, but those usually take place in the spring around April and May. We’ll definitely keep you posted on all of those opportunities as CBS announces the news.

Dominic has used the Golden Veto on himself as expected and Jordan has replaced Cassi and Shelly as nominees.

Dick spends an insufferable amount of time squelching the rumors as to why he left the Big Brother 13 house, only to end his statement with the fact that he left the show for a loved one in need and that is all he is going to say on the matter. Dick was very apologetic to CBS, Big Brother production and his fans and stated clearly that no one was as disappointed in his departure more than he was.

Many people seem to be dissatisfied with what little information was given in Dick’s statement, but he is very clear that it’s personal and that’s all we’re going to know about it. Personally, I respect that there are some things in a person’s life that are private, and I don’t feel he needs to elaborate on the issue. My only regret is that he is no longer in the Big Brother house.

Also worth noting is the episode nights for this season. While Big Brother used to air regularly on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, this season will follow in the footsteps of last year. Big Brother Access has confirmed we’ll be watching BB13 on Sundays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays which makes sense considering the premiere is on a Wednesday night.

There are still about 10 more weeks to go until Big Brother 13 is on air and I can’t wait. What about you?

If you want to be part of the fun you’ll need to fill out an application and either mail it in right away or hop over to one of these events. Don’t go flying all over the country just to attend an event, folks. There’s no reason you can’t just mail in your video if there isn’t an event in a nearby, drivable city.
